I’m TMK. I’ve spent years running a large XCP-ng estate: thousands of VMs, mixed Linux and Windows, backup jobs that have to actually restore, and the kind of problems that only show up at scale and after midnight. Most of what’s here started as a note to myself. Writing it up properly is how I make sure I actually understood it — publishing it is how it might save you the same evening it cost me.
